A modern, updated kitchen tops the wish list of a majority of homeowners.

Yet, many people shy away from updating their kitchens because of the cost

and legwork involved. However, with just one tool, some paint and a little bit of

elbow grease, you can create the effect of a brand new kitchen by renishing

your existing cabinets – one of the most visible components in your kitchen.

Tackle each step in 30-minute segments to make the project more manageable.

• STEP ONE: Detach all of the drawers and store them in a clean, dry place.

Inspect the cabinets for any damage, and repair as needed. Then, wash

cabinets to remove any dirt that has accumulated over time.

• STEP TWO: In order to make the next step – sanding – as effortless as

possible, use the Dremel Multi-Max with the MM11 Sanding Pad and

MM70W Wood Sandpaper Assortment. While sanding on medium speed,

keep the sanding pad at to the wood. Always move the pad in the direction

of the grain. Finally, paint or stain the cabinets as desired.
